We bring the sports field to your desk! With our newest family member, the Vivi, you will experience a freedom of movement like never before! The two independent seats mirror every movement of your body and take the weight of both body halves individually. The elastic shapes are good for swinging and springing. The two legs of the stool can be opened into a V-position to individually adjust the seat width. With the Vivi seat cushion (coming soon!) you sit extra soft.
Our favorite 'moves' for you:
- Swing sideways: loosens the back muscles
- Feathers: wakes you up
- Shake your hips gently and quickly (activates the deep muscles)
And the best part? If you get more Vivi's, you can connect them to form a bench. In this way, you can create your own comfortable seating landscape that fits your space and needs perfectly.
Better posture
Movement while sitting automatically activates your postural muscles – without any effort. Your body straightens up, your back stays upright, and the classic slouch simply disappears. Try it: it’s hard to slouch when you’re moving.
Improved circulation
Dynamic sitting stimulates blood circulation – especially in the torso and pelvic area. This improves the supply of oxygen and nutrients to muscles. This keeps them supple and prevents stiffness. It also reduces the feeling of heaviness in the legs.
Strong core
Dynamic sitting activates the deeper core muscles. These stabilize the spine and thus relieve pressure on the intervertebral discs. At the same time, the movement promotes the supply of nutrients to the discs. This can actively prevent back pain and slipped discs.
Relieve tension
Sitting in motion activates your muscles, especially those in your lower back. This stimulates muscle metabolism, which helps loosen tense areas and provides noticeable relief.
Variety through changing positions
The Vivi stool offers two seating positions with different movement patterns. Each activates different muscle groups, thus preventing one-sided strain.
Increased concentration
Small movements help you stay mentally alert. Those who enjoy rocking or fidgeting can concentrate better. Movement not only activates the muscles, but also the brain.
Sitting without a backrest
The introduction – gentle and targeted
If your back muscles still need some support or you currently have or have had back problems in the past, it is important to start slowly when starting to sit without a backrest. Just like with sport, you should practice regularly and moderately. Start in small stages and give your muscles time to develop in order to avoid overloading and "muscle soreness".
To start with, alternate between the stool and a chair with a backrest to give your back a rest. From week to week, you can increase the time you spend on the stool until your back is strong enough to support you for longer periods without support.
For healthy backs – full flexibility
If your back muscles are already strong, you can also use the stool to sit on for the entire time you are at your desk and keep your back strong and active during this time.
No matter where you start - with small steps you can achieve a strong posture and less back pain. Listen to your body - it usually tells us what is good for us and what is too much.
RECOMMENDED BY EXPERTS
"I was fortunate enough to meet Lisa and conduct several workshops with her on posture and healthy sitting. I discovered her innovative stools, one of which I now own.
I find it particularly compelling that the soft wooden shapes automatically keep the body moving and promote an upright posture. This active sitting supports the entire spine and loosens the lower back.
The stools are simple and effective, suitable as a preventative measure, but also good for people with existing complaints, especially in the lower back."
"I was looking for a chair for our dining room and office... something beautifully designed while promoting an upright posture to reduce neck and back pain. With MOWO, I automatically sit up straight, and my pelvis and spine are always subtly moving, keeping my supporting muscles active."
"The design of the Einser stool offers a creative, playful, and innovative solution to the functional needs of our lower back. In fact, the springy and flexible plywood structure allows the pelvis, and thus the lumbar spine, to flex and twist in most planes, exposing the lower back to all the movements that conventional office chairs usually prevent."
AWARDED DESIGN
"It's time to revolutionize our concept of sitting. Rigid and static seating options are a thing of the past – our bodies deserve more. In a world where we sit for hours, our seating must support our natural needs. Our bodies are made for movement. It's time for our seating to follow this principle and offer freedom of movement."
