Take a seat and move your body. The Einser, our signature stool, offers an unprecedented feeling and redefines sitting. Different sitting positions allow you a variety of movements. Whether it's a gentle seesaw or a wide swing - you determine the rhythm and intensity.
Our top 3 'moves' for you:
- Swing sideways: has a calming effect
- Rocking back and forth: loosens the back muscles
- Tilting forward on a skid and bouncing: makes you feel good
The Einser is available in different wood and cord colours. The stool is delivered in parts and assembled by you at home. Lace up is super easy and fun!
Pssst, another ingenious feature: you can choose your favourite lacing pattern! Either go with one of our suggestions or be creative and invent your own design.
Sitting without a backrest
The introduction – gentle and targeted
If your back muscles still need some support or you currently have had back problems in the past, it is important to start slowly when starting to sit without a backrest. Just like with sport, you should practice regularly and moderately. Start in small stages and give your muscles time to develop in order to avoid overloading and "muscle soreness".
To start with, alternate between the stool and a chair with a backrest to give your back a rest. From week to week, you can increase the time you spend on the stool until your back is strong enough to support you for longer periods without support.
For healthy backs – full flexibility
If your back muscles are already strong, you can also use the stool to sit on for the entire time you are at your desk and keep your back active and healthy during this time.
No matter where you start - with small steps you can achieve a strong posture and less back pain. Listen to your body - it usually tells us what is good for us and what is too much.
Recommended by experts
"The design of the Einser stool offers a creative, playful, and innovative solution to the functional needs of our lower back. In fact, the springy and flexible plywood structure allows the pelvis, and thus the lumbar spine, to flex and twist in most planes, exposing the lower back to all the movements that conventional office chairs usually prevent."
"I was looking for a chair for our dining room and office... something beautifully designed while promoting an upright posture to reduce neck and back pain. With MOWO, I automatically sit up straight, and my pelvis and spine are always subtly moving, keeping my supporting muscles active."
"I was fortunate enough to meet Lisa and conduct several workshops with her on posture and healthy sitting. I discovered her innovative stools, one of which I now own.
I find it particularly compelling that the soft wooden shapes automatically keep the body moving and promote an upright posture. This active sitting supports the entire spine and relaxes the lower back. The stools are simple and effective, suitable for preventative measures, but also good for people with existing problems, especially in the lower back."
AWARDED DESIGN
"It's time to revolutionize our concept of sitting. Rigid and static seating options are a thing of the past – our bodies deserve more. In a world where we sit for hours, our seating must support our natural needs. Our bodies are made for movement. It's time for our seating to follow this principle and offer freedom of movement."
